The Hopkins Swimming and Diving program includes two competitive levels: a Junior School swimming team for 7th and 8th graders, and a Varsity Swimming and Diving team. The varsity team competes against schools from Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York. The program welcomes all levels of swimmers, from those who swim competitively year round to those who are new to competing but looking to better themselves at the sport.
Head Coach Jason Nevis has been an assistant with the program since 2016, and took over as head in 2022. At Hopkins, Coach Nevis serves as the Head Coach for both Boys and Girls Water Polo teams, as well as Head Coach for Swimming & Diving, and is the Director of Aquatics. He played water polo in Northern California from age 6 until switching to rowing competitively for Long Beach State. He has been a head coach for both swimming and diving as well as water polo for five schools in Southern California, and is a water polo official.
