Support and FAQs

List of 4 frequently asked questions.

  • Are Hopkins students required to have a computer?

Hopkins is an official Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) school and students are required to own a laptop with a built-in webcam.  We primarily recommend students have either a Mac or a PC.  However, since we are a Google School, many of our students do well with Chromebooks (primarily in grades 7-8).  We recommend that all students have a set of headphones with a built-in microphone that can be connected to their laptops.

  • Will the Technology Department fix my personal computer?

The Technology Department will make every effort to get you connected to services we provide from your personal computer (e.g. Google, WiFi, printing, etc.).  However, we do not service hardware or software related problems on personal computers.
