Hopkins is a hub of intellectual curiosity where motivated high school students, in partnership with invested educators, have many opportunities to pursue academic excellence, balanced by creative and physical activities in arts and athletics.
Here, at the nation's third oldest independent school, high-achieving high school students come to learn with an intellectual passion. In Grades 9 and 10, the curriculum is mostly prescriptive, whereas students gain more ability to focus or explore in their 11th- and 12th-grade years. Also in Grades 11 and 12, students also have the ability to explore one of our Signature Academic Programs, Study Abroad and/or our Senior Project program. To augment the overall academic program, students are encouraged to engage in athletics, arts, and other extracurricular activities, including clubs and community service.
