The Boys Basketball Program at Hopkins is dedicated to mastering the fundamentals of the game while still competing at a high level. The program consists of boys from grades 7 through 12 playing at the Junior School (grades 7 and 8), Junior Varsity, and Varsity levels. The Varsity level competes in the Fairchester Athletic Association (FAA), as well as non-league games consisting of other NEPSAC schools.
Head Coach Harrison Chipkin joined the Hopkins Boys Basketball program for the 2024-2025 season. A native of Rocky Hill, Chipkin attended Western New England College, where he played on the Men’s team from 2012-2016. Prior to joining Hopkins, he served as an assistant coach for both Broward College and Albertus Magnus. Additionally, he was the Director of Scouting and Video Analysis for Bryant University Men’s Basketball, and the Director of Video Operations at Florida Gulf Coast University. Coach Chipkin was also involved in the Impact Basketball Academy as both a coach and Assistant Director of player development, and the Vice President of Video Coordination for Integrity Hoops.
Hopkins is a private middle school and high school for grades 7-12. Located on a campus overlooking New Haven, CT, the School takes pride in its intellectually curious students as well as its dedicated faculty and staff.
