It's still very cold and cloudy, but Hop was able to secure a victory over Rye before the rain. Everyone played well and there were some spirited matches this afternoon. Lucio continued to dazzle with with every shot. Jacob was also very solid in the position of Line Four. Max and Bryan had closer matches but demonstrated patience and a variety of "strategery" to come out on top against gritty rivals.
Our doubles pairings performed brilliantly today. Lucas and Karun owned the net, and Will and Gray were feisty together. Both teams communicated well with each other and used sound doubles to garner wins. Finally, Jake and Aarya chalked up a great D3 victory in their first outing together.
'Twas a good day. We're looking forward to upcoming matches Saturday (at K-O) and Tuesday (vs. Brunswick) at Home. I've filed a request for some warmer weather for next week.
