Hopkins Defeats Amity in Annual Scrimmage

Carl Atlee
Tennis Season celebrated its kick-off today with an auspicious start for the Hilltoppers. We traveled a few streets north into Woodbridge to play our neighbor school Amity, where they field a large and talented team. It was cold and a few drops of rain fell, but our boys were able to play well despite the conditions, and play was spirited. Highlights include solid play from Lucio, Alex and Karun in the singles division, and all of our doubles teams shined today, including our new pairings. A special shout-out goes to our rookie, Aarya, who competed very well in his debut singles match.

We're going to return to the courts to practice a few days before our next match, which is Wednesday at Home versus FAA rival King at 4:30. We hope to see you out at the courts.

Yeah HOP!
