Boys Tennis Blanks Hamden Hall

From Coach William Ewen:

On Saturday, April 10th, the Hopkins boys' varsity tennis team earned its second victory of the spring season against a game but clearly overmatched Hamden Hall team. Not only did the Hopkins team win 7--0, but it did so without the loss of a set. Singles winners included #1 player Alex Zackheim, tri-captain Lenny Kolstad, freshman Phil Bernasek, and tri-captain Adam Sauerteig, and doubles winners included eighth grader David Zackheim and ninth grader Dan Spinelli at the #1 position, seniors Nate Rosenblatt and Dan Wong at #2, and tri-captain David Goodrich and tenth grader Adam Blythe at #3. Hopkins must gear up for a much sterner test on Tuesday 4/13 as they will face a Rye Country Day team that defeated Hopkins 5--2 in 2003.
