Hopkins senior co-captain Chris Santopolo (Madison, Ct.) and junior Bobby O'Brien (Fairfield, Ct.) were named to the All-Fairchester League team for 2005-2006. Sophomore Doug Prusoff (Fairfield, Ct.) earned honorable mention status.
The hilltoppers posted a 15-11 overall record and finished in 4th place in the Fairchester league with a 7-5 league record. Hopkins earned a home quarter final game vs. # 5 seed KLHT. The hilltoppers lost in overtime 74-67 to end a very exciting season.
Santopolo led the hilltoppers in scoring this season with an 11 ppg average.
Obrien, a two-time all-league selection, averaged 7.5 ppg, 6.5 rpg and was a tenacious defender.
Prusoff averaged 9 ppg, 6 rpg and led the team in charges taken with 15.
Next season the hilltoppers will be led by tri-captains O'Brien, Prusoff and Senior Clyde Carey (New Haven).
Hopkins is a private middle school and high school for grades 7-12. Located on a campus overlooking New Haven, CT, the School takes pride in its intellectually curious students as well as its dedicated faculty and staff.
