Cross Country New England Results

On Saturday, November 11th, the Hopkins Cross Country teams traveled to Roxbury Latin School in West Roxbury, MA for the NEPSTA (New England Preparatory School Track and Field Association) Division II championship race.
The course was 5k, and the weather was mostly cool and pleasant.
 
16 girls' teams participated, and 18 boys' teams.
 
In the girls' varsity race, Hopkins placed 4th of 16 teams, with junior Saki Tomita placing 7th in 21:05, and senior captain Ava Maccaro, placing 20th in 21:52.
Both girls earn all-NEPSTA designation and an invitation to run in next week's NEPSTA all-star race at St. Marks School.
 
 
In the boys' varsity race, Hopkins placed 5th of 18 teams. Junior Lucas Llovera was 9th in 17:52, and senior captain Preston Parker was 12th in 17:57.
Both boys earn all-NEPSTA designation and an invitation to run in next week's NEPSTA all-star race at St. Marks School.
 
In the JV girls' race, Hopkins placed 4 girls in the top 10 to earn 2nd place in the race overall. 8th grader Madeleine Blank won the race in 22:25, a massive PR. 7th grader Laila Goodman was 5th.
 
In the boys' JV race, Hopkins took the third team spot, led by senior Amir McFerren in 9th place, and junior Benjamin Porosoff in 19th place.
