The Hopkins Field Hockey Team is a member of the New England Prep School Women's Field Hockey Association (NEPSWFHA). Varsity Field Hockey competes against schools from Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts.
Hopkins fields teams at the Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Junior School (7th and 8th grade) levels. The primary goal of the coaching staff is to teach players the fundamental skills of field hockey, and progress to smart and dynamic play, all while developing a love for the game.
Coach Jen Morgan has been with Hopkins Field Hockey since 2015, but took on the role of Varsity Head Coach in 2019. She has also helped coach Hopkins Girls Lacrosse. In 2015, Coach Morgan graduated from Connecticut College with a degree in Behavioral Neuroscience. In her time at Conn College, she was a three sport athlete (field hockey, ice hockey, and lacrosse). In 2013, she was elected as captain of her field hockey team, which she served as for her two remaining seasons.
Hopkins is a private middle school and high school for grades 7-12. Located on a campus overlooking New Haven, CT, the School takes pride in its intellectually curious students as well as its dedicated faculty and staff.
