Hopkins was honored by a visit from Hopkins Fellow Ali Cooley on Friday, April 19, 2024. Ali is an entrepreneur focused on clean energy. She was part of a team that developed and launched the C-PACE program (Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy) at the CT Green Bank, which enables all types of commercial properties to make green upgrades to new and existing buildings. She also co-founded Greenworks Lending, which was later acquired by Nuveen and rebranded Nuveen Green Capitol.
Ali’s assembly speech touched on her journey from Hopkins into her early career, and emphasized how important it is to be prepared when new opportunities arise. She also encouraged the community to find the thing that brings them joy, even on the bad days. After Assembly, Ali visited three classes: Topics in Women’s History, AP Statistics, and Public Speaking, in addition to hosting a Q&A luncheon in the Weissman Room.
Hopkins is a private middle school and high school for grades 7-12. Located on a campus overlooking New Haven, CT, the School takes pride in its intellectually curious students as well as its dedicated faculty and staff.
