Senior Captain Nate Testa is one of several nominees for the USA Football sponsored award.
The recipients of the award, sponsored by USA Football, the Hospital for Special Surgery, and the New York Giants, are high school tri-state area football athletes and students involved in their team that have extra something special. Of the 20 nominees from the tri-state area, 6 will be voted on to become finalists. Each of those finalists will win $1,000 for their high schools football program; the winner will get an additional $9,000 grant and be honored on the field during a New York Giants home game.
Nate was nominated for his courage. Despite numerous surgeries since infancy, and hours of physical therapy, Nate has always given his best effort to his team and demonstrated his immense love for the sport of football.
