The Hilltoppers beat Brunswick 2-1 on a perfect fall evening in New Haven.
Hopkins struck first after some nice interplay between Gabe Goodman (11), Jeet Bhatnagar (12), and Noah Whalen (11). Bhatnagar then found Munib Kassem (12) who pushed the ball to Tommy Pont Strong (9). His deflected finish nestled into the bottom corner.
Brunswick scored early in the second half, but with 5 minutes to go, Kassem fed fellow captain Wyatt Sloan (12), who whipped the ball into Pont Strong's head for the late lead.
Hopkins returns to action against KO at home. Kickoff is 3:30 on Wednesday.
