To kick off the Homecoming weekend, the first-ever Fall Festival was held on the Thompson Quad on Friday, October 18. Fall Festival was a celebration of music, community, and FALL things Hopkins. Performances included the Orchestra, directed by Bobby Smith, Concert Band and Pep Band, directed by Erik Elligers, Concert Choir directed by Erika Schroth, and an improv performance by Peaches. Between musical acts, the Fall Festival’s official emcees—Dan Altano and Bob Studley—invited the captains of the fall sports teams to take the stage to give a shout-out to their teams and announce their upcoming games for Homecoming weekend. The event also featured food trucks, a cookie and pie contest, apple cider, apple cider donuts, a Thriller! dance performance, pumpkin carving, appearances by the G.O.A.T mascot, and a special concert by Goodnight Blue Moon, Erik Elligers’ band!
